- Are same sex marriages legal in Texas?
- Where can we purchase a marriage license?
You can purchase your marriage license from the county clerk’s office. Here is a list of branch offices for Harris County. Texas marriage licenses are valid in all counties regardless of the county where the license was issued. Both parties must be present at the county clerk’s office. You must have a valid ID such as a drivers license, ID card issued by DPS, valid passport, resident alien card, or other government issued identification. If one party is not able to be present a notarized Absent Application must be presented.
- How much does a marriage license cost?

The license must be purchased at least 72 hours prior to but no more than 90 days before the date of the ceremony.
- Do we need witnesses?
You do not need to bring witnesses to obtain the marriage license. Witnesses are not needed for the ceremony either.
- Do you officiate last minute ceremonies?
Rev. Faulkner is happy to accommodate a short time frame for your ceremony, depending on his availability.
